The primary audience for this course includes cloud administrators who are responsible for monitoring and protecting the cloud infrastructure. It is also intended for solution architects who are responsible for designing cloud architectures and extending existing cloud solutions. The primary audience for this course is administrators who create service requests. The secondary audience includes datacenter administrators — who are responsible for providing provisioning for applications to includeconfiguring and deploying — application/service business owners, and administrators who implement service requests. In addition, the secondary audience includes people who need to learn the required material in order to take the Microsoft exam 70-246: Monitoring and Operating a Cloud with

In this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to design, install, and configure a cloud infrastructure. You will learn how to configure and deploy the application infrastructure as well as the key components of System Center 2012 R2 that are necessary for managing services on the cloud infrastructure.
You will cover the requirements needed to produce a high-level design for the cloud environment. Through hands-on practice, you will configure and deploy the application infrastructure, as well as learn how to configure a pre-boot execution environment (PXE) server, an update server, and software update baseline. You will learn how to configure a service catalog and publish this catalog to the self-service portal. You will cover what is required to deploy and configure System Center 2012 – Data Protection Manager (DPM) and Orchestrator in a cloud.
